Scenarios
Inflation — the same contributions merely keeping pace with CPI would be $12,432 today, so the real (inflation-adjusted) return is -34.9%.
Lump sum instead — $10,600 all at once in Nov 2017: $1,620 (-84.7%) — DCA came out ahead.
Worst timing — same monthly amount started at the all-time high (Dec 2017): $8,081 on $10,500 invested (-23.0%).
Backtests use monthly closing prices. Stock dividends aren’t reinvested, so long-run equity returns are understated.

About Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash is a hard fork of Bitcoin with a protocol upgrade to fix on-chain capacity. Bitcoin Cash intends to be a Bitcoin without Segregated Witness (SegWit) as soft fork, where upgrades of the protocol are done mainly through hard forks and without changing the original economic rules of the Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is released on 1st August 2017 as an upgraded version of the original Bitcoin Core software. The main upgrade is the increase in the block size limit from 1MB to 8MB. (CoinGecko)
