Scenarios
Inflation — the same contributions merely keeping pace with CPI would be $10,310 today, so the real (inflation-adjusted) return is -74.4%.
Lump sum instead — $9,000 all at once in Mar 2019: $3,471 (-61.4%) — lump sum came out ahead.
Worst timing — same monthly amount started at the all-time high (Oct 2021): $1,708 on $5,900 invested (-71.0%).
Backtests use monthly closing prices. Stock dividends aren’t reinvested, so long-run equity returns are understated.

About Cosmos Hub
The Cosmos network consists of many independent, parallel blockchains, called zones, each powered by classical Byzantine fault-tolerant (BFT) consensus protocols like Tendermint. Some zones act as hubs with respect to other zones, allowing many zones to interoperate through a shared hub. The architecture uses classic BFT and Proof-of-Stake algorithms, instead of Proof-of-Work. Cosmos can interoperate with multiple other applications and cryptocurrencies, something other blockchains can’t do well. (CoinGecko)
It's a cryptocurrency categorised under layer 1, with a market cap of about $789M.
There isn’t enough researched data to give it an overall rating yet — only 43% of the scoring weight is backed by facts, below the 60% needed. The score shown is partial and covers only what’s known.
What pushes the score up: market / volatility (3.0/5) and systemic / correlation (3.0/5).
Scoring well: liquidity at 1.3/5.
Not yet researched: supply & concentration, smart contract / technical, custody / bridge, governance / team, regulatory. These are excluded from the score rather than guessed, so the real risk may be higher than what’s shown.
Ratings summarise sourced facts against fixed rules — not investment advice, and no substitute for your own diligence.
